Level 1 Burn Ban in Effect
The Pipestone-Albert Fire Department Chief, along with the support of the Rural Municipality of Pipestone Council, wishes to advise residents that a Level 1 Burn Ban is now in effect for the Rural Municipality of Pipestone pursuant to By-Law No. 2019-04.
Under a Level 1 Burn Ban, the following are NOT permitted:
Open Burning
Bonfires
Yard Waste Burning
Restricted Yard Burning
Residents are reminded that weather conditions remain extremely dry and windy conditions may increase the risk of wildfire spread. The cooperation of all residents is appreciated in helping protect property, infrastructure, and public safety throughout the municipality.
Any person found in violation of the Burn Ban may be subject to penalties under By-Law No. 2019-04, including fines and recovery of fire department response costs.
