Hidden Treasures Community Funding Grant

Hidden Treasures Thrift Store in Reston, Manitoba opened its doors in April of 2016. It began under the guidance of St. John’s Anglican Church and was built on the tradition of the church’s long-standing biannual thrift sales in the Parish Hall. Over time, the store has grown and evolved, and it is now overseen by a volunteer board made up of community members. The move to Main Street provided a year-round source of affordable household goods for customers and sustainable income for local initiatives. Today, Hidden Treasures is a popular destination for both shoppers and donors from Reston and the surrounding communities.

Hidden Treasures Community Thrift Store has been a very successful enterprise in our community.  We at Hidden Treasures are grateful for the support of both donors and shoppers.  We are also very thankful to the many volunteers who work at our store, sorting, pricing, and assisting our customers.  In the last year, we have focused on making some upgrades to our space, including shelving which has helped us improve efficiency and shopping experience.

As a nonprofit organization and in keeping with our mission, we wish to reinvest a good portion of our financial proceeds back to our community and the surrounding area in projects that have a direct benefit to residents of the RM of Pipestone. We therefore invite submissions from organizations who have projects that align with our vision.

Specifics of the criteria for the grant are outlined in the application form which is available on the RM of Pipestone website or can be picked up at our store on 4th St in Reston (open Thursday and Friday 1-5 pm)

Grant recipients will be announced at our annual meeting in March of 2026
