Handivan

Funded by the RM of Pipestone, the Handivan Service is available to residents of all ages within the RM of Pipestone and the approved service area, including one-third of the Municipality of Two Borders.

The Handivan provides safe, reliable, and affordable transportation for individuals who may require assistance getting to medical appointments, community programs, essential services, recreational activities, or other destinations when transportation options are limited or unavailable. While the service includes accessible transportation for those with mobility needs, it is designed to support the broader transportation needs of the entire community, including those experiencing temporary transportation challenges.

The RM of Pipestone is committed to providing a dependable transportation service that helps residents remain connected to the services, programs, and activities that enhance their quality of life.

Driver Application forms can be picked up at the R.M. office from 9am-12pm and 1pm-5pm.

User Fees: 

In Town: $5.00/person

Out of Town: $0.75 cents/km for large van

$0.65 cents/km for small van

Refueling either van

Provision of volunteer Support Person: $20/hr
