Community Development Corporation
Since incorporating in 1997, the Community Development Corporation has continued to focus on promoting and enhancing economic development in the Rural Municipality of Pipestone.
The future of the municipality rests in the hands of the residents, and the R.M. of Pipestone Community Development Corporation continues to work toward creating opportunities to ensure that future generations continue to have a great place to live, work and raise their families.
The R.M. of Pipestone CDC has developed initiatives designed to build a stronger, healthier community by encouraging residential and commercial development. These initiatives include the Residential Grant Policy, Business Real Property Grant Policy, and Municipal Residential Lot Sales Policy. The Community Works Loan Program provides a source of locally administered funds to finance the start up or expansion of small business ventures. The program is intended to enhance the well-being of the community by creating new jobs and diversifying the economy through small business development. Board of Directors
The R.M. of Pipestone appoints a Board of Directors, consisting of seven members, to manage the affairs of the corporation. One member is appointed from each of the community areas in the municipality; being Cromer, Sinclair, Reston, and Pipestone. Two of the members are appointed "at large" and the seventh member is of the Council of the R.M. of Pipestone. The current Board of Directors includes:
